If you've lost your license key or didn't receive your purchase email, don't worry! Enter the email address you used when purchasing Alistair and we'll send your license key right away.

Troubleshooting

License Activation Issues

  • Make sure you're connected to the internet during activation
  • Copy the license key exactly as shown (including hyphens)
  • Check that your firewall isn't blocking Alistair
  • If you've changed computers, deactivate from the old device first via Settings > License

Performance Issues

  • For LLM features, try a smaller model if responses are slow
  • Enable GPU acceleration in Settings if you have an NVIDIA GPU
  • Close other memory-intensive applications
  • Ensure you have at least 8GB of RAM for optimal performance

Alistair Won't Start

  • Try running as Administrator (right-click > Run as administrator)
  • Check if antivirus is blocking the application
  • Reinstall the latest version from alistaircrowe.com
  • Delete the config folder and restart: %APPDATA%\alistair
